Several postsecondary campuses in British Columbia closed on Tuesday and Wednesday after a snowstorm hit the Lower Mainland. Simon Fraser University closed its Burnaby campus on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, but noted that campus buildings would remain open for those who were already on campus. Vancouver Island University’s Nanaimo and Cowichan campuses and Parksville Centre closed on Tuesday, and its Nanaimo, tiwšɛmawtxʷcampuses, and Parksville Centre were closed on Wednesday. The University of British Columbia canceled on-campus morning classes on Wednesday morning, and Kwantlen Polytechnic University was also closed on Wednesday.
