Over 800 social sciences and humanities research project have benefitted from the latest round of Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council grants. The research council issued over $175M through the grants to support research, partnerships, and knowledge mobilization on critical issues. The projects cover topics such as inclusive policing, First Nations self-determination, and Canada’s net-zero emissions target. “This research investment is essential to generate fresh ideas, insights and perspectives on the human and societal dimensions of key challenges facing Canadians,” said SSHRC President Ted Hewitt.
