Canada, MB provide $7.9M to support research in agriculture, agri-food sectors


The Government of Canada and the Government of Manitoba are providing $7.9M to support 54 research projects that advance sustainability in the agriculture and agri-food sectors. This funding is available to key stakeholders in the agriculture industry, including postsecondary institutions, industry organizations, primary producers, and communities. “Researchers at the University of Manitoba welcome this valuable support to develop sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural systems and tools that will benefit producers and consumers,” said University of Manitoba Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences Dean Dr Martin Scanlon.
