The Government of Canada and Government of Nova Scotia have signed a bilateral agreement focused on minority-language education and second-language instruction. Under the agreement, Canada will invest more than $48M into NS’s efforts to offer French as a minority language and French as a second language education from preschool level through to postsecondary education. “French language learning in our schools and postsecondary institutions plays a key role in supporting the Acadian and Francophone communities,” said NS Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development and Advanced Education Brendan Maguire.
