The Government of Canada has announced that it will be providing $10M in funding for grants and awards to recognize those who promote a love of STEM. The funding will be provided through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s (NSERC) PromoScience and Science Communication Skills grants and the NSERC Awards for Science Promotion, and will be presented as part of the science and technology festival ScienceOdyssey. 53 organizations will receive $10M through NSSERC’s PromoScience grants to support youth in building skills and learning through hands-on experiences, while almost $200K will go to ten recipients to enhance student and researcher communications.
