Canadore receives funding for initiatives in innovation, cyber-security, clean water

Canadore College will be receiving almost $3M from the Government of Canada to support four initiatives. FedNor will provide Canadore with $1.1M to establish a Concept Development Lab (CDL) at the Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Prototyping, which will support businesses and start-ups throughout the commercialization process. $1M will support ThinkON in establishing a Digital Public Safety Centre at Canadore which will include a Secret Cleared Security Operations Centre and Digital Evidence Management Archive and will securely host digital content and archives. Canadore will receive $750K to set up an Indigenous Clean Water Learning Lodge addressing the goal of delivering clean water to remote Indigenous communities, and $25K from ESDC to host information sessions on financial literacy and elder abuse for seniors.
