Carleton University and the Université de Moncton have both announced new research and partnerships pertaining to AI and health. Carleton’s Faculty of Engineering and Design has partnered with the biotechnology company CardiAI to enhance medical diagnostics through the implementation of biosensor technology. The two are collaborating to explore the technology’s applications to a wide range of health conditions. UMoncton has received a $1M donation from Technology Venture Corporation and the Association Excellence NB to advance research in AI and health. The funding will be used to create a research chair focused on AI in healthcare and establish a research fund that will finance health sector projects that use AI technologies.
