Cégep de Chicoutimi has launched a new program in electrical engineering technology called Technologie du génie électrique: automatisation et contrôle. The program will teach students to manage programming industrial production systems, and students will be able to integrate automation elements into production lines by the end of their training. Students in the program will spend 50% of their class hours completing practical work in a real production context to ensure that they develop the right skills to meet labour needs.
