Organizations such as Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) and Universities Canada have extended their congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Members of Parliament that were elected on Monday. CICan pointed to the role that colleges and institutes across Canada play in helping to meet the country’s economic and workforce goals. Universities Canada applauded the Liberal Party of Canada’s campaign commitments to issues such as research, attracting talent, and student housing needs. It additionally called for the government to form a ministerial roundtable on key issues related to universities.
