The Canadian Institutes of Health Research has announced that new funding will soon be available in the form of the Clincial Trials Fund (CTF). The funding consists of a total of $250M over three years, which will be provided through three mediums: the Pan-Canadian Clinical Trials Consortium, the Clinical Trials Fund Training Platforms, and Clinical Trials. It will be an integral component of Canada’s Biomanufacturing and Life Sciences Strategy and will address the need to build Canada’s biomedical ecosystem to prepare for future health challenges. The funding opportunity is expected to launch in Spring 2022, and CIHR states that additional funding opportunities may follow these original three funding opportunities.
