Due to growing enrolment, administrators at Collège de l’Île are seeking a new location in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. The francophone community college currently rents both its original facilities in the Evangeline region and the facilities for its campus in Charlottetown. Collège de l’Île Acting President Darlene Arsenault explained that the new building would help raise awareness about what the college offers. The planned building would include two levels for student residences, a level for classes, and amenities such as a corner store or gym. “The students could live fully in French in this building,” explained Arsenault. “It would be like a community, to be able to socialize and learn and mingle with the people that are there.” CBC Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
