Confederation College has received a $1.3M investment from the Government of Canada for renewable energy and sustainability-focused initiatives. Confederation will use the funding to conduct renewable energy projects, upgrade its on-campus renewable energy systems, create skills-based learning opportunities, and develop a Sustainability Roadmap Study. The learnings will be shared with community partners, including First Nations communities. “We will further our energy efficiency efforts to become a net-zero facility and create learning opportunities for our students in renewable energy education,” said Confederation President Kathleen Lynch. “We look forward to working with our community partners to highlight the opportunities to use energy alternatives and reduce operating costs.” Newswire Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
