Confederation College has announced that it has received a $3M investment to grow its aviation programs. The investment will be used for infrastructure modification, aircraft and simulator purchases, and the introduction of a Pre-Tech Aviation program in collaboration with Indigenous institute partners. “Ultimately, this funding will improve program quality and increase enrolment, allowing the College to better meet the needs of regional employers,” said Colin Kelly, Dean, School of Engineering Technology, Trades, and Aviation. The funding is provided by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, FedNor, the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission, and the Student Union of Confederation College Inc.
