Dal launches Master of Fisheries Science program

Dalhousie University has launched a 16-month Master of Fisheries Science (MFSc) program that will prepare the next generation of fisheries experts. Student who enrol in this course-based master’s program will develop the technical skills and professional connections to embark on careers as fisheries managers, conservation specialists, policy advisors, and more. “Building lasting fisheries science capacity requires investment in teaching combined with new investment in research,” said Dal Professor Aaron MacNeil. “Our hope is that the MFSc program will build capacity across stakeholder groups here in Nova Scotia, helping elevate the level of expertise in industry, governmental, and non-governmental organizations.”
