Dalhousie University has opened the Indigenous Student Centre on Sexton (ISCoS), designed to foster community, learning, and cultural identity for Indigenous students at the downtown campus. The centre is housed within the Faculty of Engineering and is also open to students in the Faculty of Architecture and Planning. It features study areas, collaboration spaces, culturally significant design elements, and an in-house program coordinator. “ISCoS is a place where students can bring their culture, their histories, their stories… it is a place where they can just be,” said Dal Assistant Dean of EDIA in the Faculty of Engineering Sherida Sherry Hassanali.
