Durham College has joined a nuclear energy working group and has received funds to support the development of a new immersive research stage. The college recently joined the Canada-ASEAN Business Council Nuclear Energy Working Group, which is focused on the future of global energy workforce development. Durham will play a crucial role in critical conversations about nuclear energy, clean power, and upskilling and reskilling. Meanwhile, supported by nearly $1.9M in federal and provincial funding, the college will also be creating a state-of-the-art immersive research stage. This will enable applied research that blends physical and virtual worlds.
