Eight postsecondary institutions in British Columbia have received a combined $30M in funding from the Government of British Columbia’s BC Knowledge Development Fund. The funds will support 120 research projects being conducted at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Langara College, Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia, the UBC Okanagan, the University of Northern British Columbia, the University of Victoria, and Vancouver Island University. The funding will support a variety of projects, including a KPU study on genomic and metabolic solutions, a UBC study on brain development in pre-term infants, and a UVic project on infrastructure to establish a molecular health research centre.
