The University of Guelph recently announced that the encampment on its campus has ended peacefully. Protesters reportedly dismantled all tents and structures associated with the demonstration this week. In a written statement, UoGuelph added that the university has created an ad-hoc committee to review a petition for divestment submitted by the protesters. “[W]e are moving forward on actions that we discussed with the encampment which are aligned with our mission and our role as an institution of higher learning,” reads the statement.
