Five digital intelligence research challenges receive $6M from IVADO

The Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO) – a joint initiative of Université de Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal, and HEC Montréal – has announced $6M in funding for five Québec-based research projects focused on artificial intelligence. The five large-scale research framework projects will bring together researchers from UMontréal, Polytech MTL, HEC, and McGill University to study scientific challenges in digital intelligence. “The impetus for the broad-based consultation led by IVADO was to favour co-construction and multidisciplinarity, which are essential for the advancement of knowledge and research in artificial intelligence,” explained Janice Bailey and Carole Jabet, co-chairs of the IVADO advisory committee. “These strategic projects aim to promote use of AI across various sectors in a manner that is both forward-looking and socially responsible.” IVADO| IVADO (FAQ)| HEC Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
