Fleming SAC donates over $3.4M for student transportation, food security

Fleming College has announced that its Student Administrative Council (SAC) has donated over $3.4M to the college. The funds, which reportedly were saved from student fees, will be used to support future student transportation needs and food security initiatives. $2.3M will be placed in an endowment fund for transportation initiatives, while $1M will support transportation-related capital enhancements at the Sutherland campus. The remaining funds will be used to elevate food security projects such as the student emergency food bank and food box program. “Fleming College’s Student Administrative Council continues to demonstrate student leadership,” said Fleming President Maureen Adamson. “This significant gift will make a difference in the lives of students for generations to come.” Fleming| Global News Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
