Georgian College has announced that it will offer a new certificate program in construction at its Muskoka Campus this September. The one-year certificate will provide graduates with the opportunity to try out seven trades: Cabinetmaker, carpenter, electrician, gas technician, HVAC technician, plumber, and small engine mechanic. After graduation, students will be able to pursue a trade-specific program or an apprenticeship in their trade of choice. “Encouraging interest and growth in the trades and attracting new skilled workers will help deepen the pool of talent locally and give people yet another reason to build their futures here,” said Graydon Smith, Mayor of the Town of Bracebridge.
