Investigation into Holland College Canes’ Camp concludes, no charges laid

The investigation into a staff member at Holland College’s Canes’ Camp has concluded without charges, reports CBC. The Canes’ Camp is a dedicated camp for students in K-6 that is held during holidays in the public school system. Earlier this year, a staff member from the camp was suspended following a complaint. “The investigations concluded with no findings of guilt from either Charlottetown Police Services or an independent third-party law firm,” said the college in a statement. “Throughout this process we have strived to prioritize the safety and well-being of our camp participants and maintain open communication with our Canes’ Camp families. We consider this matter to be resolved, and we do not have further comment.”
