IPON announces nearly $3.4M to strengthen IP capacity at postsecondary institutions

Intellectual Property Ontario (IPON) is disbursing nearly $3.4M to initiatives at 16 postsecondary institutions to strengthen their intellectual property (IP) capacity. The recipient institutions will use the funding to develop, protect, and commercialize research and innovations. IPON CEO Paul Paolatto explained that this will, in turn, contribute to job creation and long-term prosperity in the province. IPON states that this investment builds on < a href="https://academica.ca/top-ten/ipon-invests-4-6m-to-bolster-ip-capacity-at-postsecondary-institutions/">previous funding, raising the organization’s total investment to more than $9.5M since April 2023.
