Four British Columbia postsecondary institutions will be receiving provincial funding to evaluate the postsecondary needs of those living in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. BC will be providing $250K to Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Douglas College, the Justice Institute of British Columbia, and the University of the Fraser Valley to collaborate on an education and skills training needs assessment. “Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows are two of the fastest-growing communities in the Lower Mainland,” said BC Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Training Anne Kang. “This needs assessment is the first step to understand whether students in the area have access to the educational and training opportunities that are needed for them to thrive and be prepared for the economy of the future.” Nation Talk Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
