Lakehead, Confederation announce standalone BScN programs

Lakehead University and Confederation College have announced that they will each be offering a standalone Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) programs starting in Fall 2023. The final intake of Confederation and Lakehead’s collaborative BScN program was in September 2022, and the first intakes of the independent programs will be next September. Lakehead will be resuming delivery of its standalone nursing program, which is offered in a three-year, compressed format and includes a focus on Northern, rural, and Indigenous health issues. Confederation College will be offering a new, standalone Honours BScN program that includes clinical experiences, labs, and simulation activities. Confederation will also provide a pathway into the BScN program for Practical Nursing students so that they can pursue a nursing degree.
