Lakehead University will be expanding access to education for students who are facing financial barriers thanks to a $2M gift from the Joyce Family Foundation. The gift will establish the Joyce Family Foundation Bursary. Each year, this endowed fund will offer a bursary of $22K over a four-year period to three students who are facing financial challenges. “As an access institution, we are thrilled that each year three Lakehead students will have the support of this bursary so they can focus on their studies and achieve their goals rather than worry about financial stress,” said Lakehead President Dr Gillian Siddall.
