Lambton College of Applied Arts and Technology, Fanshawe College, Mohawk College, and Loyalist College have partnered to create the Canadian Bio-Cleantech Applied Research Network (CBARN) thanks to a $3M investment form the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. CBARN will aim to provide research, technical, and commercialization support to over 60 early-stage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the bio-clean tech sector in Ontario. Science and technology students at CBARN institutions will be able to work with SMEs and develop their skills. Lambton will host a core operations team to support the member colleges.
