CBC reports that the launch of University of Prince Edward Island’s medical school will be delayed by a year. UPEI had previously aimed to launch the medical school in Fall 2023. However, when asked about the launch date after no money was allotted for it in the provincial budget, the Government of Prince Edward Island said that the launch will be delayed a year. “It was just October where we had a big event and it was announced that this was going to open in 2023,” said Green MLA Trish Altass. “It’s only been a few months and already the plan has changed a year back. It’s disappointing that … we had to ask about it and nobody knew about this.” CBC Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
