Loyalist, Selkirk celebrate new spaces on campus

Two colleges have opened the doors to new, dedicated spaces on campus that will help learners to practice and develop their skills. A new campus spa called “Unwind” has opened on Loyalist College’s Belleville campus. The spa will be operated by students, faculty, and support staff from the college’s Esthetics & Spa Management program and will offer high-quality, student-led esthetic services to the region. Selkirk College’s Castlegar Campus Library has opened its new computer lab, which features new workstations, the latest computer technology, and a dedicated learning space. The space was “long overdue for a refresh,” said Selkirk Head Librarian Gregg Currie, who said that the lab will be useful for teaching information literacy and resource evaluation.
