McMaster University received a $50M donation from the McCall MacBain Foundation that will be used to support research, community practice, and training for health leaders focused on extending lifespans. The endowed gift will be used to establish the McCall MacBain Kinesiology and Healthspan Institute, which will bring together interdisciplinary collaborators to advance cutting-edge research on healthspans—the years of life lived in good health—and turn it into real-world impact. The funds will also support the creation of four McCall MacBain Chairs in Healthy Living, as well as the Marcy C McCall Kinesiology Scholarships.
