McMaster University and NOSM University are expanding their existing partnership to create the Northern Practice Pathway for rehabilitation services students. Eligible students in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech-language pathology programs will complete their clinical placements in Northern Ontario. They will be provided with travel and relocation cost support, accommodations, and educational opportunities focused on Indigenous and Francophone health. “By using existing provincial support in a focused way, we can reduce some of the barriers students face and help them build the relationships, skills, and confidence to practise in the North after graduation,” explained McMaster Vice-Dean, Health Sciences Dr Sarah Wojkowski.
