Northern Alberta Institute of Technology broke ground this week on its upcoming Advanced Skills Centre. The $779M facility represents the largest capital project in the polytechnic’s history and is designed to provide a boost to skilled trades supply in the province. “You’ve heard of all the major projects that are coming down the line here; all of them are going to need trades to be built, as well as all the schools, hospitals, houses,” explained NAIT President Laura Jo Gunter. “So this is going to be an incredible investment in the future of both our learners and the province as well.”
