Two art-focused postsecondary institutions have announced partnerships to create special exhibitions or collections. In New Brunswick, the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design partnered with Black Lives Matter New Brunswick to put together a permanent collection for the BLM offices in Saint John, NB. The college has invited Black students and alumni from across the province to submit work on the theme of Resistance – Affirmation – Knowledge. Meanwhile, in Ontario, OCAD University has partnered with the Royal Ontario Museum to co-create a career launcher program as part of the ROM’s Canadian Modern exhibition. Through the partnership, eight emerging designers from different practices, backgrounds, and approaches will participate in the ROM’s winter exhibition.
