Algonquin College has received an investment from the Canerector Foundation to support skilled trades students and promote the skilled trades as a career choice. A $400K gift over four years will be used to provide initial scholarships to up to 125 first-year students. “We are grateful to the Canerector Foundation for their support and dedication to our learners and to promoting skilled trades,” said Algonquin Director of Philanthropy Ian Lewer. “Canerector Foundation Scholars will become leaders and champions in and of the skilled trades, encouraging and inspiring others to follow in their career footsteps.” Algonquin Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
