The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has announced a two-year, $2M partnership with Mitacs that will grow the number of internships available in the province for postsecondary students, graduates, and postdoctoral fellows. The partnership will produce up to 500 internships through Mitacs to help prepare the next generation for high-impact careers, connect employers with new team members, and retain researchers in the province. “By investing in high-quality work-integrated learning opportunities for students and recent graduates, we are supporting the development of a resilient workforce, while ensuring that employers can access the top talent and ideas they need,” said NL Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology Andrew Parsons.
