NS announces $105M investment into infrastructure, research, healthcare at STFX, Acadia, USainte-Anne, CBU

The Government of Nova Scotia has announced that it is investing $105M into infrastructure, research, and healthcare at four rural universities: St Francis Xavier University, Acadia University, Université Sainte-Anne, and Cape Breton University. The investments include $65M in deferred maintenance investments at all four universities, and dedicated funding for CBU to support the construction of a Centre for Discovery and Innovation and planning of a strategic health initiative. “Ensuring our post-secondary institutions remain competitive and have the space and infrastructure needed to welcome and train the future workforce is essential for our economic future,” said Brian Wong, NS Minister of Advanced Education.
