NSCADU announces future move of three campuses to Halifax Seaport

NSCAD University has signed an agreement with the Halifax Port Authority to move its three campuses in downtown Halifax into the Halifax Seaport where the university will operate one unified campus. The move will ensure that NSCADU is fully accessible by the provincial government’s 2030 deadline, and construction on the new site is expected to begin in five years. “We are thrilled to strengthen our relationship with the Halifax Port Authority as part of the ongoing transformation and revitalization of the Halifax Seaport District, our community, and our city over the coming years,” said NSCADU President Dr Peggy Shannon. “This is a tremendous opportunity for us to dream big and extend our established brand into placemaking at a reimagined destination on the waterfront.” NSCADU| CBC| The COAST| Brandon Sun (Acct.
