NSERC and the US National Science Foundation have announced $1.53M in funding for five cross-border partnerships. The partnerships are designed to research advanced materials in areas like advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and clean energy as a part of the Designing Materials to Revolutionize and Engineer our Future (DMREF) program. Over four years, teams will work with their US counterparts on materials research with the provided funding. Teams at McGill University, the University of British Columbia, and Simon Fraser University will each receive $400K; a team at McMaster University will receive over $395K; and a team at the Université de Sherbrooke will receive $330K.
