OCAD University is leading a student well-being initiative in partnership with George Brown Polytechnic, Toronto Metropolitan University, The Neighbourhood Group Community Services, and Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre. The partners will address student substance use and mental health challenges by increasing awareness, education, and access to supports. This two-year initiative will launch in Fall 2026 and will include three phases: capacity building, the introduction of supports, and knowledge sharing. “By embedding harm reduction into campus environments, we can reduce stigma, increase awareness and better support students in making informed decisions about their well-being,” said OCAD U Student Wellness Centre Director Janet Stevenson.
