Okanagan College is piloting new pathway programs to help students transition smoothly from academic upgrading to career programs. The pathways include a Math for Trades and Apprenticeships program, an ESL for the Early Childhood Education program, and a pre-health Math and Science path that meets the entry requirements for a variety of health programs at the college. Okanagan Arts & Foundational Programs Associate Dean Andrew Pulvermacher explained that the approach supports access to education by simplifying the application, admissions, and advising process. “Students will receive the skills and knowledge they need for their program,” stated Pulvermacher, “and where possible, content will be tailored toward their individual career direction.” Okanagan Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
