Okanagan College and the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) have partnered to increase training opportunities for RCAF members. Through the partnership, Okanagan will train RCAF members as aircraft maintenance engineers (AMEs) at Okanagan’s Kelowna and Vernon aerospace facilities. RCAF members will live on campus in Vernon. “Providing hands-on, real-world training here in the Okanagan allows us to contribute directly to the RCAF’s workforce needs while strengthening Canada’s aerospace and defence capabilities,” said Okanagan Provost and VP Academic Dr Samantha Lenci. This program will run alongside the college’s civilian AME program.
