ON extends tuition freeze through 2022-23

The Government of Ontario has announced that it is extending the current tuition freeze for colleges and universities through 2022-23 to provide financial relief and predictability for students and families. The province had the highest university tuition rates of any province before undertaking a tuition reduction in 2019-20 and a two-year tuition freeze through 2020-22. “Increasing the affordability of college and university is part of Ontario’s plan to help people get the training they need to get good-paying jobs,” said Minister of Colleges and Universities Jill Dunlop. “By extending the tuition freeze, we will ensure that students can get the skills they need to succeed in a highly-competitive global economy.” ON| CTV News| Peterborough Examiner Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
