The Government of Prince Edward Island has announced that it will be developing a Clean Tech Park in Georgetown that will include a Clean Tech Academy and a Clean Tech Learning and Innovation Centre. The Clean Tech Academy will offer a Certificate and a Master’s Degree in Cleantech Leadership through a joint Holland College and University of Prince Edward Island initiative. Students will have access to incubation space and collaborative areas so they can learn from the industry. “This is an excellent real-world learning opportunity for our students,” said UPEI President Greg Keefe. “They will get the chance to work within the private sector or in entrepreneurial settings. These types of work placements are so valuable.” PEI| CBC Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
