Postsecondary institutions celebrate Hallowe’en season

News

Postsecondary institutions across Canada are celebrating the Hallowe’en season with events and initiatives. Several encouraged their community members to dress up: Sprott Shaw College is hosting a Halloween costume contest; Brock University students can take part in a Trick or Eat event to collect non-perishable food items for the food bank; and Wilfrid Laurier University is hosting Horror Vacui, a symphony performance where attendees are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume. Several institutions also are holding themed activities such as raffles and crafts at Aurora College, Fun-Eyeballs and Witch Hat Ring Toss at the University of Alberta, and a carnival with inflatables at UBC. The University of Regina and the UAlberta Students’ Union offered ghost tours on their respective campuses.
