Queen’s University’s announcement that it will be offering a course on Taylor Swift’s literary and cultural impact in the Fall semester has generated plenty of attention online from students. The course, Taylor Swift’s Literary Legacy (Taylor’s Version), was pitched by Queen’s PhD student and instructor Meghan Burry. The class will examine the history and context of Swift’s music as well as her use of literary devices in her song writing. BlogTO shared the online reactions of students from across Canada, which ranged from delight to criticism to envy over the course. There will reportedly likely be a waitlist for the course, which is capped at 75 students. The Star| Narcity| BlogTO Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
