RCMP facilitate OneBC members off UBC campus during protest

The University of British Columbia says that RCMP officers facilitated a group of people from the political party OneBC off its Vancouver campus on Thursday after group members did not follow instructions to leave. The Canadian Press reports that a group led by OneBC Party Leader Dallas Brodie showed up for a “protest event” in front of UBC’s Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre, where they were met by a large group of counter protesters. UBC says that when it “became clear that there were potential safety risks,” the group was instructed to leave by campus security and the RCMP. The Canadian Press states that one person was arrested and later released without charges.
