Red Deer Polytechnic will be building a new health care education centre, with construction beginning next year. The Healthtech Centre for Applied Learning & Innovation will add 1,000 new seats. It will support the growing needs of Alberta’s health care system as a hub for interdisciplinary learning, applied research, and industry collaboration. The centre will also house the Rural and Remote Health and Wellness Centre of Excellence. “The Healthtech Centre will significantly expand our ability to prepare graduates for in-demand careers and support the long-term sustainability of healthcare services across our region,” said RDP President Stuart Cullum. The centre is expected to open in 2030.
