Royal Roads University, the University of Victoria, Camosun College, and the Justice Institute of British Columbia will be opening a collaborative campus in Westshore, British Columbia. The $98M project will serve the educational needs of students from the fast-growing Sooke and Westshore municipalities, alongside students from First Nations throughout southern Vancouver Island. The campus will offer a common foundations program along with various courses taught by the different institutions. The five-story building will include learning spaces and classrooms, student supports, a multi-purpose classroom known as the Innovation Studio, and a space for Indigenous gatherings. It is expected to open in the fall of 2024 with around 600 students. “This campus will allow us and our partners to offer an expanded suite of options for learners at every age and stage,” said RRU President Philip Steenkamp.
