Sault turns to community for assistance with student housing

Sault College is turning to the Sault Ste Marie community to ask for increased off-campus housing for its students. The college said that it made this call to action since its on-campus residences are at capacity and many of its students are on a housing waitlist. “We know that access to safe and affordable housing can be the deciding factor in whether a student is able to start or continue their program,” explained Sault Housing & Student Conduct Manager Luke O’Brien. The college encouraged potential landlords to list their spaces online and said that its Housing Office would be available to support landlords with any questions relating to hosting student tenants.
