Selkirk opens student housing options on Silver King Campus

Selkirk College has officially opened a new student housing option on its Silver King Campus. The 36-bed housing facility includes fully furnished rooms, including two accessible suites; modern study spaces; common kitchens; a student lounge; and an Indigenous gathering space. This residence is one of two new student housing developments planned by Selkirk; the other 112-unit building is expected to open at the Castlegar Campus in September. “This project not only provides affordable and accessible options for students, but it helps ease pressure in the regional housing market,” said Selkirk VP of College Services Kerry Clarke. “It’s a welcome addition to a campus that is so important to student outcomes that help strengthen our region overall.”
